Laszlo Bodak Engineer’s design approach is to study the
variety of opportunities at an early stage in the design process, and
integrate our studies with the work of the architect and other members
of the design team, to design building systems which are appropriate
for the project and meet the goals of the client. By carefully
analysing the building, and working closely with the Owner and other
consultants, we can reduce energy consumption – and running costs –
through lower solar gain, heat loss and air infiltration, thus
delivering an efficient and economical product, which meets the owners
goals.
Designing and constructing a new building always offers opportunities
to be creative, advance building technologies, and apply energy
conservation measures along with the use of sustainable techniques. The
intelligent application of these measures will result in a building
that will be ecologically sensitive, less costly to operate, and
maintain an environmentally healthy building for occupants.

energy modelling techniques, energy-saving facades, innovative waste
water technologies, water use reduction, solar water heating,

The extent of application of sustainable design is also a function of
budgeting considerations, which is studied at the early stages of the
project to determine the solution which meets the expectations of the

and in some instances governing authorities in terms of possible
subsidies.
Beyond the design for sustainability, technological advances
in the fields of communications, security, information technology,
media, audio-visual, and POS systems should be applied to the building
